Deep purple. Syrah like meaty, mineral, and black pepper nose. Drank with a spicy red sauce and ravioli , which it handled well. Starts with black cherries, great acidity and tartness with a touch of citrus, but dominated by the fresh cherry juice flavors. Great domestic wine to substitute for Barbera. No problem with the extra time in the bottle.

Can't score this one... don't know this grape enough. Wine was tart and sour... Wine also tasted of ripe grapes. Had 2 sips and this wasn't what I was looking for tonight- re-corked and forgot in the fridge.

Popped and poured. Crisp, bright aroma of red fruit and spice. Rich flavors of vibrant, spicy berry fruit. Tart, full finish. Stylistically reminiscent of my favorite Languedoc producers, but with a definite element of (for lack of a better term) California sun.
More complex than first appearances indicate, and it may or may not develop over time. Right now one of its most appealing features is its freshness and vigor, so I'm not sure there's any point in finding out.

Previously had a tasting pour and wanted to see how it would do with food. Purple in color, this was all about fresh fruit, blueberries and black raspberries with enough structure to stand up to the pasta dish. Not an ager, but fun to drink now.
