  Method: Pop and pour; Grassl 1855
  
  Look: medium ruby with very slight browning
  
  Nose: Anise, dried cherry, prune, cigar box, forest floor
  
  Palate: dried cherry, molases, light bell pepper rib; long- finish of bell pepper, black pepper, light minerality; dry; medium+ body; high tannin; medium+ acidity
  
  Overall thoughts: Wow, this has a ton off tannins, especially for the age. I blinded people with this and everyone though it was wayyyy younger. Some interesting notes on the wine, but the tannins are too obtrusive for me at the moment (although, I'm not sure it'll ever come around at this point). Still, it is interesting and has decent complexity; it's a good wine.

  Good cork, deep garnet with no brickiness. Ample fruit still showing nicely. This was a wonderful 30 year old wine which will drink nicely 5+ more years.

  PnP. Perfect bottle condition. Aged Bordeaux nose, firm but pleasant tanin, still full of fruits, hint of sweetness, great acidity. Overall very well balanced. Unbelievably, it tastes like it's at its peak or it has been at its peak. It will last at least for 3-5 more years. Love it!

  It is old. Poured bottle through Vinturi. Still has some fruit left on first drink. Not bad balance. Not rich or big, but drinkable.
