On the nose- Deep dark blackberry, bramble, some forest floor, green celery, black pepper, some oak spice, dark cola notes just a very aromatic nose
On the palate- Deep dark blackberry, bramble notes, some forest floor with a nice green celery note, black pepper, some nice oak spice with dark cola notes mixed in, on the finish its a little thin but I dont mind, the finish is smooth and soft just a killer bottle of Zin that could age another 5-8years

At first, this had a somewhat medicinal nose, but as it opened up it had more of a traditional Zin nose, color and taste. Rather fruit forward, spicy and robust at 15.2% alcohol...but the alcohol was largely integrated into the wine and the balance was good. This would not be some folks' preferred style, but given the dishes we ordered at the restaurant, it worked well. Definitely not a "sipper", should be paired with likewise robust food.

Good wild berry and garrigue loses out to the overdone and not yet integrated oak
