This is a tremendous rendition of what can happen with a Crianza level Tempranillo from an excellent vintage and an inspired producer. This 2010 is their current release. The years in barrel and bottle bring us a fully integrated, really civilized red wine we can drink now, or age for many years. The color is not as dark as you expect. The nose is grapey with vanilla and fresh flowers. The palate has a creamy, rich and buttery feel to the solid blckberry, blueberry, plum and raspberry fruit. It spent 15 months in 100% new 80% American and 20% French oak. The American oak seems to marry well Tempranillo, giving it that broad sholudered, rich mouth feel. The acid and tannins are so smooth and wel conceived. Silky, velvety finish.

Still moderate fruit. Mature and with well integrated tannins. I really like this wine.
Properly perfect 2-4 years more.
