Really nice. Not your typical tempranillo. Nice fruit. Dark and complex. Lingering finish. Medium firm tannin. Smooth. Could go for several more years but probably at a peak right now if you still want that fruit.

A: Medium garnet N: Blackberry, black plum, CEDAR, licorice, CHERRY, BAKING SPICE. Fruit is ripe. This appears to be developing P: Dry, medium (+) acid, medium tannin, medium (+) body, medium intensity and medium (+) finish. Alcohol is medium C: Drink or keep. Very Good Quality wine GUESSES: That dark plum and oak had me thinking of a Merlot from the old world and a moderate climate.
MISTAKES: There was a little dried leaf here and i associated it with pyrazine rather than the slight herbal nature of tempranillo which i often find difficult to spot anyway. NEED MORE TEMPRANILLO PRACTICE.

Tuesday Night Double Blind <$40 (Bin 75): Garnet core with bright red rim; vanilla, dill, nail polish, hard to get past the oak at this stage, mix darker red and dark fruit; silky texture, fuller; ok but oak needs more time to integrate.
