  La Fête du Champagne Gala (Pier Sixty, Chelsea Piers - New York NY): Small gala glass. Rich and powerful, this is one of the great 2013s that have magically harmonized. Starts out compact, then expands and lingers. This will last a long time.

  Enjoyed over a fine meal with a close friend who only drinks Montrachet with age. Our assessment was mutual, although I found this wine to show a rich profile overall, with tropical fruits, and honeyed layers of yellow fruits and citrus. This was as complete a wine as one could imagine, and hit all the high notes of what a unicorn Chardonnay should provide.
