  • This was just brilliant. Such elegance and finesse, while unmistakably Spatburgunder. A very seductive nose with more black than red fruit, beautiful oak notes, slight sous bois, the herbs, almost garrigue, that spatburgunder often shows. Medium+ acidity, medium tannins, long finish. Huber is a master in making the ultimate 'German Bourgogne'

Not yet at peak in my opinion, can be even more complex with more tertiary notes

  • Robe encore bien sombre.

  • Looks fairly aged being deep red and beginning to rim. Spicy oak and raspberry and cherry nose. Palate dark fruit - ripe cherry and dried raspberry with a nice mature earthy and slate note underpinning the fruit. Nice fresh acidity and decent concentration. The finish slightly shorter than ideal, perhaps slightly lacking complexity and layers overalls.

So close to being awesome but didn't quite get over the line which was a shame. I don't think it'll improve further but should keep drinking well for a while.

  • Way too young. Needed so much air to show some of the magic this liquid has in 10 years. Aproachable but dont touch ! Wait !! 94 +
