  • The beginning didn't look very promising. The surface of the cork was stained in one part with wine, indicating that it had come to the surface. And when it got out, air got in. Then - when pouring wine into the decanter, I have never seen so much sediment in my life. I was pretty sure this wine was nothing but pure vinegar. But a true enthusiast never gives up - an hour in a decanter, but in a glass? Wow! I drank almost 1,200 different wines, but I've never come across something so unique and original I don't even know how to adequately describe it. Let me start with the fact that this wine has 16% ABV! In a word, you can see the power from start to finish, or to describe it differently: Red Hot Chili Pepper 🎼🎶🎵🎶🎶 wrapped in milk chocolate 🤠 Acidity is pushed to the background because we have here, apart from paprika, cinnamon, black pepper and various spices, but we also have cherries, plums, fig.
A great balance between beauty and the beast. Excellent grainy tannins, perfectly matching the character of this wine. Smell? Cassis, a lot of it, red cherry liqueur (no kidding), milk chocolate, cherry, smoke, black tea.
    75% Grenache and 25% Syrah

I can understand why this wine has such a low rating. It's not for everyone. The same like not everyone likes classical music and this juice is like Richard Wagner Der Ring des Niebelungen. Dark force, incredible might and young vigor.
Make it simple - if you like an Amarone you will love this wine.

  • Maybe 93? Almost exploded with flavor. Dense ruby-purple loaded with kirsch, lavender and perhaps licorice. 100% Grenache.

  • K&L Rhone Tasting (K&L, San Francisco): Acetone nose, very limited fruit; palate is medium bodied, huge alcohol, almost no fruit in comparison. This is bad. 70

  • Even ruby. Most unappealing nose of alcohol and herbs. Lavender and deep red fruit with licorice, but on this day of the Nevada caucuses, mostly you just feel the burn!! This has spectacularly poor balance-astounding to see that someone gave it 95 points.
