  • Like everyone else I think Pomerol was the sweet spot of ‘75 Bdx. Those ‘75 tannins are just a trace now, pretty black plum fruit with plenty of lush black plum fruit, and prominent tertiary notes of leather, cigarbox, and mushroom. Good length, nice acid balance, satisfying. B+/A-

  • There's some polished leather, earth, mint and sage to the aroma. It has vinous sweetness in the mouth with all sorts of savoury nuance. The finish has a touch of iron and earth and structural elements are relaxed but still provide posture.

  • From magnum. Quite complex and intriguing, but tannins very much present.

  • very good match with caramelized lamb leg with red wine and chocolate sauce

Pale garnet color, with copper (maybe orange) edge

Nose: Smoked caramel (go figure) !! shrooms, menthol, blackcurrant, and nutmeg

Palate: MMMM, delicious wine, silky and full bodied. This was totally unexpeted as the wine is quite old. Very alive taste of sweet cherry, smoky caramel and silky tannins. Medium finish (15 seconds) of silky tannins that touches all of your taste buds. However, this is clearly missing fruit.

Great experience when it was totally unexpeted. Only one bottle ....shall miss it

    Voilà ! Bonne dégustation

  • Dark, but there is a slightly brown edge. Expressive bouquet with smoky flavors, toasted oak and cassis. Full bodied and juicy. The tannin is still a bit sticky. Long, soft and creamy finish. This wine is not tired yet and will last several years more.
