Second time I've drunk this wine.. a much earthier example, still with cranberry infused fruit but masked more by earth. About the same rating, still a nice, graceful and ready to drink Burg for a good price.
Medium ruby red, slightly paling at the edge. Medium intensity, simple but fresh cherry, rasberry aromas with a touch of leather. Fresh and brightly fruity on the palate-- rasberry, cherry, cassis, Medium bodied, fresh and beautifully balance. Long rasberry/cassis finish, with a slight tang and freshness that gives it great length. A fine, balanced red burg that goes well with food and is delicious to drink.
Medium ruby core with brick red rim, orangey tints. Quite intense, developed nose, with red and black cherry, savoury and farmyard notes. Also herbal hints. On the palate this is medium/medium + bodied, with crisp (but balanced) acidity. Quite good depth here with black cherry, herbal and savoury notes and a decent length, well balanced finish. Very good burgundy, drinking well now and perhaps over the next 2-3 years.
