Just a lively aged wine. Really nice complexity. Subtle rocks signature that has mellowed over almost two decades. From the library sale. What a great buy as with all of the other close to 20 year bottles I bought. I am not normally a big fan of the Syrah can sauv blend, but this works really nicely.

Was a little disappointed in this bottle as the one I had about 6 months ago was much better. Prominent oak on the nose that took a long time to blow off. Plenty of fruit on the palate was this wine's saving grace. Luckily, there is enough fruit and acid here to outlast the oak in the long run. I'll hold another couple years before I open another bottle. Usually, one of my fav wines. 90pts.

(Buty Rediviva of the Stones Walla Walla Valley) Tar, violets, and blackberry mark a complex, compelling nose. A gigantic blackberry bomb on the taste. As it opens up, earth and dried cranberry come to the fore. A dense, almost syrupy mouth feel with an expansive mid-palate. An extended finish caps it all off. 78% Syrah; 22% Cabernet. Caillioux Vineyard. 14.1% alcohol. 238 cases produced.

Very nice, but started to fall apart on day 2. Black fruit, fig, some tobacco, finish of dark chocolate.

Wow...Super funky, and really smooth! Lush, funk, rocks, blackberries, espresso, vanilla creme, delicious!

Really nice wine. Happy to let the rest sit for a few more years. Loads of black fruit, lead and dust.
