Pale golden yellow in color, almost clear at the edge. Apple and vanilla on the nose. Stone fruit - maybe a little apricot. I get some oak on the attack - not too much, but noticeable. Some peach on the mid palate. Medium finish with something floral - almost honeysuckle maybe. It is a nice wine.

Taste - understated, lean, slightly thin, watered, also a slight savory tinge. Weak Nose - hints of apple, somewhat overshadowed by oak. Low Acidity - a bit flabby

Well made straight ahead classic California chard. Peach, crisp apple, pineapple, buttered toast. Nice integration and structure. The oak is prominent but not overbearing. A good drink but lacking the sophistication to score higher.

This wine is over oaked and austere. I may have a bad bottle but the cork looked fine. My wife is a Chard aficionado and when she tried it said there was just wood and little fruit. She likes Rombauer and Kistler so I have to take that into consideration but I have to agree with her, this is not a normal Karia.

A gorgeous, bright nose full of citrus and and stone fruit with just a kiss of oak. The palate is perfectly balanced between bright, powerful and creamy, lush oak. Bright flavors of lemon and peach lead to big notes of vanilla and oak along with massive acidity to keep things balanced. The finish is long and creamy with lots of oak and just another bite of acidity to finish it out.
