14.5% alcohol, medium to full body, mild earthy nose, taste of cherries, berries, vanilla, a little butterscotch, not too fruit forward, tannins subdued, a short finish

Tasted blind. Clear, deep ruby with garnet hues. The nose is clean, developing, with aromas of black cherry, cassis, plums, ripe red cherries, some purple flowers, dried herbs, tobacco and some sweet spice. The palate is dry, with medium (+) acidity and tannins and medium (+) to high alcohol (14.5%). This full-bodied wine has a very nice smooth mouthfeel, nice structure and a medium (+) long, pleasantly bitter finish. It is drinking great now and should be fine for at least a couple more years. A great value at $20 and a super value at $15 and under. Really nice.

Quite a mouthful with a lot of structure and tannins. Earthy and intense. A bit too much.
