We compared 3 Rlieslings, all 2013 1- Markus Molitor Schiefersteil 2- Weingut Paulinshof Brauneberger Juffer Kabinet trocken 3- Van Volxem Wiltinger Braunfels
1- what stood out was the lovely creamy aftertaste 2- initially, this had the best floral bouquet but such a spritz - bubbles in everyone's glasses 3- unmistakable pineapple, melon, tropical fruits
We started with duck breast, then moved on to a Thai curry (this time a third of the green chilli). We had tried variations of both with Riesling and this time, it was the food that made the wine. 1- remained the favourite. 2- the bouquet died down and the spritz went, but then after a couple of hours, it just opened up on the palate and very much complimented the food. 3- clean, consistent throughout the meal

Hard to score as I'm no expert with German Riesling. Loved it though. Good off-dry with balanced acidity.

Golden. Ripe apple and apple liqueur. Oily, ripe, fresh and refreshing. The only negative is slight bitterness on the finish. Rebuy? Yes!

Vinosphere Tasting: Slate and lemon. Nicely crisp palate, there is some residual sugar there but it feels well balanced. Nice to drink.
