A bit thin and sour on opening; improved with air. Typical of a Mosel halbtrocken: lemony with white fruits and slate. Light body and prominent acid makes this best with food. Worked well on the Thanksgiving table. Screwcap. Edit: two days later, remainder of bottle showed improvement. More of a medium body and fuller mid-palate. Perhaps a couple of hours of air is advisable.

This is a joy of a Riesling. I enjoyed this very much. However, I recently drank the Donnhoff estate Riesling and if I had to chose between the Donnhoff and the Selbach, I would give the nod to Donnhoff

No formal tasting notes taken, so this will be brief. Pop & pour. Nice nose of citrus fruit alongside a light floral scent. Very enjoyable semi-dry Riesling, excellent lift due to balance of acidity, sugars, and alcohol. My friends and I tend to prefer the 'halbtrocken', or "off dry", Reislings much more than the "trocken", or completely dry...and this bottle was a perfect example: the bottle didn't even last long enough for me to get a second pour and take notes, which is always a good sign. Excellent Price to Quality Ratio. Would definitely buy again.

Epler, mineraler, honning, blomster sitrus. Herlig balanse mellom syre og sødme. Lang. (magnum)

This was a steal and absolutely delicious. Sweetness totally in balance, as is the fruit with the acid and tensions. Gulp.
