18.Sept. 2022 Kept till now in my own cellar at pretty costant and good for aging temperature and humidity.
Nice straw-goldy colour. In the nose, like on the palate has reached lot of ripeness still no hints of oxidation. In the nose all the fresh fruits are gone, leaving place to a fantastic honey and wax hints with caramelized almonds/hazelnuts on top. On the palate loads of creaminess and smoothness, medium bodied wine, the acidity isn't that high and very well integrated. On his final is coming back the light smoky-nutty notes which was also significant in the nose. Not that long but very pleasant finish. For me won't get any better...drink now!

In a really good place, first enjoyed at cellar temp, with an ever growing array of aromas emerging as the wine warmed. Floral notes complemented by citrus and dried fruit flavors, a touch waxy. Good lift. Should drink well for at least five more years.

Chateau de Beaucastel Dinner (Ai Fiori (Langham Hotel on 5th Ave)): Our starter wine for the evening. This is mostly Grenache Blanc although does have some Viognier as well. Somehow this wine gave the impression of being both very smooth and having a bit of a biting acidity to it. Soft. Melon and floral and honey. Served a touch on the cold side, but that was nice as it was quite refreshing.

Pale yellow. Low acid, smooth and creamy. Under ripe honeydew melon and lanolin. Some Werther's butterscotch candy on the finish and some crispy bacon after taste.
