Alc: 12.5%; Light red-brown Savoury bouquet of soft, wild red berries, tilled earth, strawberry and rhubarb. Forest fruits perhaps? Light bodied, the entry has plenty of juicy fruits, crisp acidity, relatively lean but packed with strawberry flesh. Very much Jura in the glass, the wine has a cool mid-palate feel with more rhubarb. Served chilled this is like a light Pinot Noir, eminently drinkable! Simple, mid-length, the wine went down well on a warm day. The rhubarb became more like a pie with pastry notes coming through as it opened.

Borderline rose translucency, high toned red fruit, and steely acidity portray this red Jura, 100% Trousseau, which varietal, according to Wikipedia, is also known as Bastardo. As the color and transparency suggest, this can substitute for a rose at a dinner table. Tannin structure is close to non-existent, and the flavors consist of cranberry, red apple, strawberry jello, and fresh parsley. 12.5% alc. Purchased at $17.

Again similar to our note 14 months ago. Quite enjoyable slightly chilled and meted out in small pours over four warm evenings.

Similar to our note a year ago --and lovely, over two nights, for what it is.
