4th Saturday Brown Bagger (EBCC): Double blind. Plummy dark fruit with herb and soy qualities as well. Softened tannins with plum and blackberry jam flavors. Hints of cedar and vanilla bean. (J&L)

Inky purple in color. Nose of ripe berries. Black and blue fruit, coffee and licorice on the palate. Full bodied with a medium finish. Tannins are nicely integrated. This bottle seemed a bit rounder and softer than I remember so in my opinion this is likely in its prime window now.

Pronounced and complex on the nose with blackberry, raspberry, dried cherry, dried fruit, coffee, smoke, cedar, mint, graphite, earth and mushroom.
Pronounced on the palate. High acidity / tannins (starting to resolve) / alcohol, full body, long finish.
Enjoyable mature wine with good length, complexity and intensity. Would be interesting to taste again in another few years to see how it continues to mature.

Really really solid!!! First day, 2+ hrs opening time, was delicious with tri-tip, 2nd night, the wine showed better than the tri-tip(which was very very good). Length (on the wine) is a bit shortish to get higher scores.. but scores smores, this is really good and still has long life ahead. I need to go start a fire.....

Blackberry, blueberry, earth, a hint of oak and a touch of sweetness on the palate. Deep red color with long, lingering legs in the glass. Full bodied with nicely integrated tannins.
