This 2007 vintage, by the way, was the first Andouse du Hayot to win a Gold Medal in the prestigious Concours du Bordeaux.
Frankly, given how labor-intensive this Sauternes is to make, and the quality of its vineyard, I am astonished our supplier can offer it so reasonably, even as a pre-tariff direct import.

10% Semillon. Medium plus nose shows orange marmalade, creme brulee, orange zest, lemon vanilla curd, yellow flowers, hint of earth or mushroom. Palate matches with orange layers, lemon curd, musty note is stronger, white mushroom, bruised apricot, acidity does well, alcohol shows some spice, both balance well with sweetness. Not the most complex choice, but the value here is excellent and 2007 is currently available.
