Nose of red fruit earth and spice. Smooth and lush on the palate. Oak is integrated with the fruit in this bottle. Mugnier's best wines are his Chambertin's. This wine is ready to drink. However it is not worth the price of admission.
On its own this would have been delish, it had great fruit, extraction, and is nicely maturing. The issue is the oak treatment, the toast is high and the wine showed sexy at first but tailed off later in the evening so that the wood was almost acrid. 93 to 75 for me. The other bezze and the chambertin showed these faults.
