Notes of raspberries, some flowers but also slightly oxidized notes of loveage. It‘s lighter-bodied with medium acidity and nothing in terms of tannin. Shorter finish. This was probably better a few years ago.

Deep ruby. Aromas of earth, rusty leaves, sour red cherries, cranberries and raspberries. Notwithstanding the label, no aroma like sweet, summer strawberries. Tart entry to the palate, flavours of those sour red cherries, cranberries or under-ripe plums, fairly simple flavour profile. But phenolic ripeness. Fruit weight a little skinny. Fruit also starting to slip, some acids still there. However improved by food, balances out the acids. An old fashioned Faiveley, a style thankfully they have moved away from. Finishes a bit hard and short, a little drying on the back palate. Drink up!

Medium ruby red with cherry at the rim. A subdued cooked cherry nose with just a trace of caramel. Less sweet than the Givry but good depth of fruit and good acidity too. The smooth tannin is a good buffer. Good.

Tasted blind. Very ripe but also tertiary. Good aromatics despite the oxidative maggy note but the tannins are drying.

Exuberant fruit, a little undisciplined.
