  Juicy, fresh and elegant, just like 2008s should be (and the Monprivato of that vintage that we had at the same dinner was not!). Silken texture, plenty of fruit, completely ready but lots of time in hand.

  Drank with Brezza , both from Sarmassa. This was more fullbody and mature Nebb. style with leather and licorice , with more weight than the Brezza.

  Still somewhat restrained nose even after being decanted 2 hours. Dried figs, meaty notes and some dark, stewed fruit. Surprisingly accessible with very well developed, mellow tannin, and a good, integrated acidity. Medium+ body. On the palate complex flavours of dark cherries, strawberries, anice and sweet licorice. Very good balance between body, alcool, tannins - maybe just a bit more acidity would have sharpened the profile. Medium+ aftertaste.
