A little less primary aromas than last time, still in need of aeration. Similar to previous notes with a touch of black truffles. Will see how further bottles progress. Excellent Cornas for this cooler vintage.

Heater week; 3/8/2024-3/17/2024 (Chicago, IL): Not a huge fan of Paris from the early 2010s -- the wines are a bit too polished and seem like they've seen a bit too much oak. This is no exception -- the wines from later vintages I have liked a fair deal more. Somewhat chunky and structural. There's black fruit, but it doesn't feel integrated.

A tought nut, very much the vintage speaking here, edgy, hard, unforgiving, needs air. Might be better tomorrow. Much more fruit showing on day 2, certainly better. #ParisTasting#ChezMoi

Lovely mid red color. At most medium plus weight. Slightly meaty aromas - though not excessively so - mixed with really beautiful darker red berry fruits - raspberry - and some gentle spice notes. Lovely fruit. I find Syrah fruit, when ripe but only just, is one of the most amazing flavors in wine. It flows across the palate well and there is still considerable brightness and freshness here. Refined well mannered tannins. I suspected some new oak influence, but according to the website the oak is not first pass - at least not in recent vintages. On its way to a really good place I think and very representative of a quality if not exceptional wine from Cornas. Bought on release. I would wait a bit longer.

The most acidic of the wines so far. Also lean and hard/edgy. In a difficult spot right now, unforgiving. Granit 60 tasting chez Lillelund.
