This screaming eagle blanc was quite yummy! Balanced but still with the roundness and richness one might expect from CC. Quite a far way from the apex of what Martray CC can be but a truly lovely wine!
I find these wines to be extremely inconsistent, but the highs are worth chasing!

Tasted like a completely different wine to the same exact wine drunk last week. Golden yellow and clear. Limited nose. Awkward on the palate with none of the citrus, floral notes from the other bottle. A bit fat, buttery, some honey notes. Premox? Sadly, nowhere near as good or exciting as the last bottle. I have 10 bottles left and am now unsure whether to drink up now or wait???

Perfect bottle. Clear pale yellow. Lovely nose of white flowers, citrus. Citrus, grapefruit and pleasant salinity on the palate. Fleshy, full bodied and round. Long long finish. A delicious wine, bravo. Probably at its peak but feels like it will go another 3-5 years.

Birthday Dinner Featuring Bonneau du Martray and the Very Best of Chambolle-Musigny (The Bristol - Chicago IL): In 11/12/13/14 vertical, followed by 06/07/08/10 vertical. Another 2013 that keeps getting better with more cellar time, this is still in that process of integrating the botrytis, so not yet fully balanced. So much substance and weight, I really look forward to seeing where this emerges at its peak...in 2025? 2028? Later?
