An Evening at Bern's (Tampa): I have this wine listed as 1905 Pichon Lalande, but that is technically not correct. This is just Pichon because the two Chateaux had not been split up yet. That said, this was definitely more Pichon Baron in character than Lalande. A fresh and thrilling nose of dark fruit, asphalt, tar and leather soared from the glass. Absolutely thrilling palate that matched the nose. What was so amazing with all of these wines was the freshness. Super glossy texture and a long, silky finish. Just amazing.
