More open and giving than previous bottles, but still a lean and acid driven tool for food. I liked the lime pickle on the nose. Wished for a little more body, and some more generous fruit would have been nice. Still, it was a good foil for some rich pork chops. I'm not sure where this is going if anywhere. I don't think it will ever become a source of sipping pleasure, which is fine - I'll open the last couple of bottles with food and be happy.

With dim sum. It had no business being on the same table with dim sum and was a truly terrible match, but the wine itself was very nice. Showed quite tropical - lime in the coconut - with pretty strong acid lines. The second half of the bottle at home later was better, friendlier. Not sure what the upside potential here is, I suspect another few years would do it good. But it's pretty tasty now.

Oops! Put in the freezer to chill fast and then forgotten about. Tastes dilute and one dimensional so I'm chalking it up to damage suffered upon freezing.

Maybe I was just more receptive but this wine seems to have really opened up in the last months. Light golden in color. The nose has wet stones/slate with hints of grapefruit. Dry on the palate. More mineral drive but nice depth. It unwinds in the glass with minerals and some bright fruit. Long finish. Easy to drink although works well with food.

This is a surprisingly tasty bottle of dry riesling. Good balance, in a nice spot.
