Soft and pliant, the 2013 Ghost Pines Winemaker's Blend is comprised of 100% Zinfandel of which 53% is sourced from San Joaquin County and the remaining 47% is from Sonoma County. While not overly complex, it does offer inviting aromas of blackberry liqueur, juicy black cherries, vanilla and spice. On the palate, it's smooth and easy-drinking with a black fruit-drenched sweet spot in the middle. There is a bit of lift on the finish. A dab of spice, the merest hint of dried herbs. In short, a casual mid-week red to sip after work, on the couch in your favorite pair of yoga pants. 14.5% ABV Sample

With brambly, pepper spice, and carob aromas, this shows black fruit through and through. Juicy and intense, the blackberry and cherry fruit brood darker and tarrier the longer it sits, lingering on the finish.
