Interesting Spanish blend, Merlot & Cab Sauvignon with Tempranillo and Granache. I quite liked this wine, austere as it is. Had half a bottle open under vacuum pump for three days, and thought it better on the third day, notes of chocolate. Certainly worth $20 if you like the style.

Nice wine. Kind of lush mouthfeel with dark fruit and oak, some earth and grippy tannins that linger on the persistent finish. Juicy acidity keeps the wine balanced instead of flabby. Pretty nice.

Open nose, very pleasing. A substantial wine. Rich fruit, oak and spices, with some earth and forest notes. Long finish, slightly bitter. Would not buy again at $20.

Quite good, offering a nice combination of aged notes and fresh fruit. The forest-like elements have an woodsy character without being too oaky. Nice spice and smooth tannins. UPDATE: On day two, this seemed to have lost all structure and became a soft, flabby and oaky. Best on day one.

Modest nose. Palate is short on fruit, with forest floor, wood spirits, spice and citrus zest. An austere wine, which I would not buy again.
