Pronounced on the nose with maraschino cherry, raisin, currant, clove, cinnamon, caramel, hazelnut, coffee, prune, fig, leather and mushroom. Fully developed.
Pronounced and offdry on the palate. Medium plus acidity, high alcohol, full body, long finish.
Can drink now but has potential for aging.

The bottle I tasted was bottled in 2015. In color, looked a lot like 1989 - kinda orangy, medium amber, but with a richer pallet. Raisins, dried fruit. Quite drinkable! :)

Opened for for a day and really helped here to develop the wine (comparing with our last TN from 1 year ago). Nutty, light toffee, that sercial "bitter" edge, well evolved and a for the lovers of this less round Madeira expression is a beautiful wine. A good 92.

We should have decanted for a week or so, as sercials are always difficult straight from bottle. Tight and firm, has all the characteristics of good madeira but needs to age a lot more and needs a lot of decanting. Better planning next time.
