A stunner, and almost everyone's wine of the night, this is still dark, with a good amount of plum and cherry to go along with leather and other earthy characteristic. After an hour in the glass it went full-on spice shop, with curry in the lead. A really great bottle of wine.

Tasted in tandem with the ‘64 Pommard village: more classic, resolved, great balance; Hoisin, celery salt; orange rind in the upper register. Excellent!

Love the delicate style here (just as seen in the first bottle of this tasted a while back); orange zest, wood scents/antique furniture, leather and a bit of caramel/coffee dustings alongside the aging fruit. Good freshness (acidity) for the aging fruit that makes this easy to come back to and keep drinking! Subtle Vosne spice throughout with gentle tannins. Wish I had more bottles to revisit...

Mature nose of brown sugar, caramel and sous bois complexity. This still shows vigor with a bit of tannins that pokes out a bit. Tobacco smoke, citrus zest and cinnamon come through in a whispy fashion. More soy sauce and spice flavors come through with time in the palate but lacking a bit of sweetness/charm. No rush here as this came directly from the Domaine. 91-92. So much energy still.
