  Wine was decanted for an hour. Still structurally intact and drinking well. Lean, herbal, and tannic, with raspberry and blackberry flavors on the palate. Fine for a Monday night. Will not buy again.

It tastes mostly like cab (and some oak tricks), weight is light medium which is fine, since I'm not looking for cough syrup, either. There are cabs a little more expensive that outperform. There are cabs a little less that are as good. Didn't feel hot, didn't have off flavors, just fairly simple. Might be okay at a cookout, but why not bring something just as good that costs less and is more food flexible?

  This was a huge disappointment. After purchasing it on sale at K&L with glowing reviews, I have to say that there really weren't any redeeming qualities. Fruit fell flat. Alcohol was high and burned the whole time. Finish with a peculiar artificial sour grape flavor. Someone not producing at least mediocre Napa cab in '12 should probably get out of making wine.

  Had a few more bottles of this wine after being extremely impressed with the first bottle I tried...the bottles I've had since have failed to wow, picked up a case on special at K&L for $16/bt, think it's worth it at that price but won't be buying any more. There's a subtle greenness on the nose and palate and definitely comes across as fairly austere. Would almost guess Loire Valley Cab Franc...I know a lot of people like this flavor profile in wine, I'm just not one of them.
