Deep garnet-red, medium body, good fruit--black plum, prune, black cherry, maybe a little blueberry--with a touch of minerality as well as pine/cedar. More sophisticated than the regular Zaccagnini Montepulciano d'Abruzzo (which is also pretty good). Nicely integrated on day two--needs a few hours air.
