Hints of oak, tobacco, vanilla and earthy tones on the nose along with berries. The palate is tannic with medium but leaning towards full bodied. It’s smooth and has a good finish that lasts for a bit.

Bright and energetic in style this is upfront and approachable. Black cherry and dark briar fruit top notes emerge over rosemary, chocolate, and oak spice aromas. Shows nice weight, a lovely hint of bottle age, and closes with length and verve on the tightly packed finish. Tasty and way too easy to drink.

Used a Vinturi to aerate the wine Good plum, cassis, maybe blackberry, and Zin notes on the nose Almost a pepper spices- sweet white pepper maybe? I get hints of smoke wafting by Easy tannin structure with solid fruit across the palate Could be a petite verdo splash. Nice spice at the end Slight under tones of cinnamon with the spice

We are pleased to announce the release of our Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon! This bold, complex, voluptuous Cabernet Sauvignon has been sold out for over a year, leaving us and our members patiently waiting for this striking, age-worthy wine. Vintners have universally characterized the 2012 growing season and its abundant, high-quality harvest as classic, idyllic and textbook. After the challenges of 2010 and 2011, 2012 was blessed with moderate weather. The long, slow growing season ended with a brief heat spell and light rainfall in September and October brought fruit-laden vines to optimal ripeness, with sugar and acid in harmonious balance. The Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon fruit was sourced from the Oak Knoll appellation (59%) and our two estate vineyards in the Rutherford appellation, Franklin Vineyard (24%) and Abela Vineyard (17%). Perfect climatic conditions and the region's deep, loamy, well-drained soils produced dark create intensely flavored Cabernet berries.
