  Medium garnet, lots of bricking and orange on the rim. Pronouched nose of wet leaves, forest floor, mushrooms, char, touch of vanilla, rose, violet, strawberry, cranberry, some red currant. High acidity, high very fine grained and well integrated tannins, pronounced palate, full bodied, lovely long, long finish. Outstanding wine with at least another decade ahead.

  hmm. prob too early - quite burly and unrefined at the moment. Certainly tannins are still prominent. Drinkable, but not a great showing at this stage. Suffered against a 2010 Tignanello, even if they are v different wines

  This is a great Wine that we drank too early. It has loads of fruit and expression and should the tannins and the fruit find harmony sometime in the future it could add 2-3 points to the score

  Lo dico subito: non è lo stile che amo. E' un barbaresco muscoloso, importante, corposo, ricco di tannini e con una presenza alcolica percepita invadente. Comprendo il punteggio di 94 in media. E' un Barbaresco per chi ama i vini poderosi, prepotenti, costruiti. Nessuna finezza nessuna eleganza. Di "terroire" qui non c'è nessuna rappresentanza. Con il tempo può anche ammorbidire, ma come si dice dalle mie parti:" Chi nasce quadrato, non muore rotondo". Mi è piaciuto? SI. Lo ricomprerei? NO.
  
  PS: Rapporto qualità prezzo decisamente fuori misura.

  I rate this 94 on potential, it is a monster of a wine. Gripping tannins, but wonderful fruit and floral notes. This needs another 3-5 years taming, but the promise is amazing.
