Gorgeous sweet caramel/coffee nose mixed with smoke, truffle, some wonderful delicate underbrush aromas that introduce a classic Vosne spicy palate of red fruit remnants, soy and well-poised acidity. A freshness, in fact, seen more in the ‘66 than in the ‘69 burgs tasted chez Remoissenet. The finish is a bit short compared to other bottles but wow, this is good. Rich and elegant at the same time.

much like other bottles, wonderful sweetness intake with various sweet spices, leather, celery salt and some notes of game come through on this bottle. Lots of midpalate fat and length in the mouth. Gaining intensity with air time.

A positively glorious Vosne style nose of spice, rose petal and soy mingled with smoked sausage, caramel laden red cherries, brown sugar, gobs of wet soil scents and hickory smoke. Rich but poised palate with appropriate acidity. Conveys lovely freshness still which makes the wine easier to drink. The flavors are very intense and there is no signs of immediate decay at all. Once again, the dark color is curious as it does not reflect 1966 though the flavor profile does show a gentleness and resolution of something from the '60s.

Oxidized; cork was shrunken in diameter and soaked through with wine. Pity :(
