  • Opened two days ago (July 5). Good cork, kudos, and stained purple black, no infiltration at all. Wine was reticent, and almost no flavor and closed upon opening, but today it is really great. Fruit is deep, succulent, and makes me crave sip after sip. Swished in mouth, and astringent, but only so. Alcohol upon exhale through nose. What fruit is this? Seems deep, like berry or currant, something thick and luscious. Something unique to note about this wine, something not experienced with any others I've had. The wine is cohesive when sipped but breaks down into its components when aerated/swished in mouth, and those components are disjointed. But it is totally together when sipped, and it's very good. This seems ready now. I've had this open under cork for 3 days and it's been great each day. CT drink dates say drink by 2022, but based on the fruit and tannin level, this will/should hold together for up to five more years. Recommended, and I would certainly buy again.

  • Held up quite well. Calm and well structured with dried fruit and a bit of acid. Finish is quick but balanced. Really good bottle esp for the price.

  • This is 96+ for me! Lovely wine! Decanted 2 hrs in the bottle and 30m in the decanter. Another 30-60m in a decanter wouldn't hurt. Served it at room temperature, but perhaps 15m in the fridge would do it well.

Sweet and spicy. Still, lots of tannins and it got the potential to be aged more (I'm so happy I have another case of it!).
Paired it with steak, calf steak, and burger - it did compliment all of them perfectly, however, I enjoyed it best by itself!

  • Pre-phylloxera vines of approximately 160 years. (100% tempranillo, aged for 14 months in new French oak; 15% alcohol). Deep ruby color. Intense nose of plums, ripe black cherries, tobacco, smoke, sweet spices. Wine is dense, fresh, with medium+ acidity and plenty of silky tanins. Very long. Perfect now, but will stay 5-6 years at least.

  • This 11 years old Bottle from Castilla y Leon, is the last bottle of 12. Dark red, lots of legs coming down slowly and spacious, pre announcing how round it is. Light aromas and strong taste of tar, ripe black berries, finishing in a long and dry . We had it with Paella and it’s pairing were magnificent. Salud, Chin Chin and cheers. 🤤
