Subtle cassis jam on the nose. Full bodied, smooth and gentle tannins, delivering loads of blackberries and blackcurrant with a touch of vanilla. Perhaps a tad generic fruit but overall this is good value for the money. Had a bottle at Huvila.

Unbelievable quality in this price range! Very dark color, appealing nose dominated by oak, plum, and blackberry. Surprising depth, a bit jammy, some underlying tannins, kiss of oak. Soft, could use a bit more acidity. Short, but clean finish. You will look hard and long to find a better $5 Cab. A really serviceable wine. Most of us can't afford to drink $25 or $50 wines every day. This actually tastes like Cabernet Sauvignon, and at this price point, I'm not looking for much else. Most Yellow Tail wines are at their best within two years of their vintage.

Definitely the best $5.50 wine I've had.
