Brought this to Li Bai (Sheraton Towers) last night for a wine dinner with a group of wine enthusiasts.
Dark purple in colour, which was rather surprising given that the wine was 25 years old. Tannins still holding well, giving it a fresh nose of berries and plums. On the palate the wine presents some notes of cinnamon, cassias, aged leather and small berries.
In a transition phase at the moment, the notes are somewhat muted while the secondary notes are developing. Suggest to keep 3 to 5 years before opening the next bottle.
