Medium-deep lemon yellow color. Very rich and attractive nose of honey, ripe exotic fruits, some lemon curd, perfumed hints of apple blossom and a subtly reductive hint of rubber. The wine is quite full-bodied and medium-sweet yet incredibly fresh and lively on the palate with intense flavors of lemony citrus fruits, very ripe red apples, steely minerality, some lemon marmalade, a little bit of honeycomb and a hint of wet stones. The high acidity makes the wine come across impressively structured and focused. The finish is bright and lively with moderately long, off-dry flavors of sharp lemony citrus tones, honey, some steely minerality, a little bit of wet stones, a hint of perfumed floral character and a touch of something waxy.
A very lovely and thoroughly taste Riesling with some residual sugar sweetness that the wine carries with noticeable ease. A very fine and sophisticated effort that is very easy to pair with a wide variety of lighter dishes, but also drinks really well on its own. Most likely will continue to develop for years in a cellar. Recommended.
