Sour cherries, earthy, somehow 'organic', juicy... sometimes a little petroleum!? I liked it, and as a matter of fact, I like Montepulciano. A variety which never disappointed me, so far I can remember.

Pale ruby coloured. Aromas of sour cherry mixed with jammy blackberry notes. Soft and easy-drinking with feathery tannins showing a dusty edge to the ripe black fruit flavours. Some warm, tarry accents on the aftertaste.

Dry as a dead dingo's donger. Has depth of flavour and good nose. Medium tannins. Drinking now.
