The nose was beautiful. Layered with fruit, spice, and earth. The palate showed lots of acid and minor weight. Overall not so exciting but certainly still has time.

Everything is there. It's not de Burgundy top but a good wine. Grand Cru? Not comparing to the greater vintages but very enjoyable. And long ago I paid € 40,- and that's more than reasonable.

For a 2004... Big nose, big palate. No green notes at all here. Little too present oak and some more finess would be fine. But it's a nice wine still showing great on day two.

Pale brick, amber edges; woody, stemmy, earthy nose; mid-body; velvety; smooth finish; not deep. Had bottle variation. Two bad bottles out of a case. w/quail.

Booze Monstrous 6 O'Clock tasting (Equinox @ Swissotel): Aged brownish tinge. Beautifully aged with a classic burgundy nose of vegetal rot, beautiful cherries and mushrooms. Lightly sweet cherries enveloping hawthorn berries, mandarin peel and bits of bitter leather. Very good mouthfeel. I especially adore the aromatics which is surprising expressive for a 04.
