Rumoured to be the first ever Monfortino, this was more history than drinking pleasure. Brown, candied sugar like color, quite pleasant in the nose, nearly madeira like. In the palate it shows that it has seen it's time with very strong bitter notes and some chocolate. Still drinkable though.
