Sweetish Pinot Noir fruit on the nose, in addition to some spices. Elegant, but quite lean and astringent on the palate. Lacks some fruit. I guess this is due to both vintage and producer.

This pale echezeaux has good aromas of red fruits with white pepper influence. The mouth has great balance, between red fruits sweetness, elegant vosne spices, tangy acids, and cherry pit bitterness. If this is not very dense nor overtly complex, it is an Ech of grace, ending in a caressing, gentle finish. Ready to go, under the radar gem that will improve within the next five years.

Disappointing. Shut down on the nose. The palate is okay but nothing special. There is a lot of acidity, some bitterness and some red fruit. It's fragments, not a whole. Maybe time will tell but now it's grand cru unworthy.
au Bout du Monde avec Adam. Serré bien sûr, mais juteux et d’une belle profondeur avec des tanins fins, des parfums suaves. Excellent. revoir dans 5 ans ou plus. 92+

Visit to Domaine Francois Lamarche-Vintage 2013 (Vosne Romanee): Red. This too is very fragrant. Not a big wine at all. Tightly coiled clean crystallized fruit which seems slightly sweeter than in either of the Vosnes. Powerful acidity, very long. This is incredibly fine and refined. Terrific potential to turn into something subtle and beautiful.
