BM Dinner (Summer Pavilion): Not difficult to guess this was from 2004 as the nose is full of ginseng, Angelica root intermixed with drier fruits and earth. This is in secondary state but still have some nice fruits. Though tannin is pretty raw, this has the depth and power of a Bonnes Mares, with stemmy inner perfume. This is actually drinking better than it sounds and on the palate it is not green as compared to the nose.

2011 Simple Dinner Series 12 :: M's farewell (Jade Palace Seafood Restaurant, The Forum Shopping Mall, Orchard Road): Alcohol :: 13.5% Opened for 9hrs. Vibrant medium ruby red with bricking hue. Seductive, high tone aromas of sour cherry, meat, stem, spicy intermixed with, orange and autumn leaves. Sour cherry on the palate that seem a little bit lean, but this has good underlying sweetness for the balance along with mocha, dark chocolate, herbaceous and stem. This has good mid palate depth and complexity but just lack a bit of scale. Tannin was a little bit rough and a little bit bitter that distract a little bit but it does provide good grip on the long powerful finish with lots of mineral. This will hit the peak in 3yrs. 90-91+

(Potel Nicolas Bonnes-Mares) A tight and mineral nose with plenty of higher floral aspects. In the mouth this earthy and direct, concentrated and muscular. The fruit is certainly a good foil for the structure but this wine will require several years in the cellar. Very impressive but for my own taste less compelling than the Clos St.Denis, Echézeaux or Grands-Echézeaux - or come to think of it the Fuées or Petits Monts.

Pronounced nose intensity with notes of red fruits, spices, toast, truffle, mushroom. Medium+ acidity, medium+ tannin. Long finish.

Rich floral and spice on the nose. Smooth balanced palate with a lovely finish. Excellent stuff.
