Second of two bottles (sadly the last). It was reserved at first but opened up in the glass to become a near perfect pinot with a just stunning combo of primary and developing flavours, and with all the elements in beautiful balance. One of my guests said it was the best pinot he'd ever tried! If you have any of these I recommend trying one.

I’m loving how this is drinking. As the name implies this shows bright cherry and tones of kirschwasser, moving more to the latter with maturity. Minerality is highly expressive across the palate and lingers for thirty seconds. Found the brightness exceptional with a richly smooth pate and cherry reduction as a gele on top.

Tasted at the winery in 2015. Cranberry and pomegranate. Now, at a decade, this is more subdued. The fruit has softened and, in fact, faded. The oak was always minimal, and today, non-existent. The acidity, also faded, but enough remains for it to be interesting. In the end, it was great with a very strong mushroom risotto. Was it worth the price and the hassle of storing it this long? Eh, not sure.
