  • I bought this on a whim from Impulse Wine. Yashar stated in his email that, "....I can easily put it among the top Cabs I’ve had in recent memory, in fact I think it’s the best Cabernet I’ve had in the last twelve months." Heck, for $28.99, I thought it was a low-risk buy for 2. This was my first. I'll agree that it's good but, to me, that's all it is. It's a very easy-drinking wine with very little tannin, and almost tastes advanced-in-age for a 2012. This won't age. Meaty notes on the nose along with juicy black currant and cherry fruit. Decent finish. I guess I like a little more structure. Re-reading the email, I can see that Trey Busch was the winemaker, and I can definitely see his style in the wine. If you like SoH wines, you'll probably like this. I, for one, won't re-buy. Drink up.
