6.5+ years after the prior: Forest floor, and hints of tertiary characteristics. Nicely balanced, with lovely acid backbone. Just a touch of sauvage character. Very enjoyable over four nights, gassed in between.

Light ruby, minimal bricking; aromatic, red berries, some cherry; palate is light bodied, red fruited, balanced, elegant, medium-plus acidity, low tannin, medium alcohol (13%); short-medium length finish. A nice value wine, and I think I like this wine a bit better than my last bottle. 88

Quite rustic and earthy, strong mushroom and fat, juicy red fruit on the nose. Still youthful, I do like the weight of this wine, very strong acidity, well made.

Coravin. Light ruby, youthful color; nose is moderately aromatic, higher toned red fruits and less sappiness than the Gevrey VV; palate is light bodied, elegant red fruits, again a bit higher toned than the Gevrey, medium-plus acidity, balanced medium alcohol (13% on the bottle); finish is short-medium. Also good, balanced, food-friendly, a. bit lighter and less sappy than the Gevrey but still good value for $30. 87-88
