Decanted for two hours before serving. Nose exhibited pomegranate, rose petal, red berries, violets and minerals. Palate showed good fruit purity despite being a bit lean, but it had lovely transparency. It could use another 2-3 years before fully revealing its full potential.

Åpen og utrolig sjarmerende. Floral, delikat, lys, wow! Så utrolig lett å like. I munn er den fantastisk lett på tå med en impomerende konsentrasjon og lengde. Leskende og lett som en fjær med sin lekne og uanstrengte bringebærfrukt. Stram finish i denne også.

Red berries, mainly cherries and cranberries, did not decant, but needs definitely air to unfold, very pure, needs another two or three years to get fully together.

For comparison with the Tremblay version at the Southern Jeebus. While one of the things that I love about Mugneret-Gibourg wines is that they are generally enjoyable no matter what age (except, strangely, for the Vonse). While this was enjoyable and had the flint and spice combo on the nose that's so great, it was crunchy and a bit unyielding. There is a lot in reserve here and it should be a great bottle with some more time, I think another 3-4 years.

Red fruit, spices, salty elements, very pure, middle density and length, a wine for purists. In the beginning of its drinking window.
