Translucent magenta. Fresh red berry nose. Light bodied, with jammy blue fruit, barely there tannins, and a long sappy finish. To me, its more like a zin without spice than a cab.

Enjoyed this; fruit forward, softer; not heavy on the tannins or acid; aroma of blackberry, little vanilla/oak, smooth on palate. Good with steak. Could do a lot worse for ~$22.

This is my favorite so far of the Loring wines we purchased via the Berserker Day offer. This is quite young, and therefore still rather primary, but there's some solid structure underneath there, and I think it will age fairly well, especially for something in this price range. Right now, it's all blackberry fruit to open, with some clotted cream notes, a little earth and brooding tannins. Honestly, it tasted a lot like a young Clio, despite the different varietals at play, and at $20/bottle, this Loring Cab is a killer value.
