  It lives up to its name. This wine is simply Beautiful. A gorgeous nose of black raspberry, smoked meat, tapenade, licorice, smoke and spice. Wonderfully balanced, full bodied but remarkably light on its feet. The finish is smooth, velvety and bursting with spice and violets. A nice vein of minerality runs through it while silky smooth tannins hold it all together. It is near its peak now, but has enough going on to last a few more years. If you have any, drink by the end of the decade.

  K's The Beautiful Syrah really lives up to its name. This wine is gorgeous, a flat-out stunner. The nose is black fruits, smoked meat, violets, minerals, a touch of tar, spice and olive tapenade. It is incredibly smooth and harmonious with oh-so-silky, sweet tannins. The finish lasts a full minute with more flowers, spice, olives and smoke. Very little WA state Rock funk in this wine, just enough to give it some character. This wine is close to its peak now, but should be able to maintain that for a few more years.

  Maybe 91. Drank w Elle two weeks before wedding, as she wanted some funk - and after all - it was Syrah (some call it Shark) week.
  Asphalt and dark fruit. N and P. I love funk. This was dark funk - but it didn't brighten on the finish. Enjoyed over several hours - no sig change.

  Very similar to my 8/8/2021 TN. 90 minute decant. Lot's of sweet black fruit and spices. Seems at peak - recommend drink within the next year or so
